Russia's intention to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus means that

Vladimir Putin

will lose.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, wrote about this on Twitter.

"Putin (Russia) is very predictable. Making a statement about tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, he admits that he is afraid, he will lose and all he can do is scare tactics. And second: he once again

records his participation in the commission of a crime. Violating the nuclear non-proliferation treaty ..." he wrote.

It will be recalled that

Putin announced plans to complete the construction of a storage facility for nuclear weapons in the Republic of Belarus.

According to Putin, Russia helped the Belarusians to convert their planes and gave them Iskander missiles.

In particular, ten types of aircraft are ready for the use of tactical weapons.

"From April 3, we will start training crews, start building a storage facility for nuclear weapons. We will not transfer our tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus, but we will deploy them and train the military, like the US in Europe," the dictator said.

Putin admitted that the self-proclaimed president of the Republic of Belarus, Oleksandr Lukashenko, has long raised questions about the placement of Russian tactical nuclear weapons on the country's territory.

One of the arguments for this is that "the USA has long placed it in a number of countries."

The last nuclear weapons deployed during the Soviet Union were exported from Belarus to Russia in 1996.
