President Volodymyr

Zelenskyi

said that Ukraine cannot compromise with Russia, because it is Volodymyr Putin who is guilty of grave war crimes on the territory of our state.

The head of state said this in an interview with the Japanese publication Yomiuri Shimbun.

"It is clear that he is guilty. Therefore, Ukraine cannot compromise," Zelenskyi said.

He also emphasized that Ukraine intends to seek to bring Putin to justice for what he has done.

"In February, Ukraine submitted to the UN General Assembly a resolution adopted by a majority of votes, which referred to the need to "investigate and prosecute" serious crimes related to Russian aggression. Ukraine is now expected to submit to the UN General Assembly a resolution on the creation of a special tribunal for consideration of cases of aggression," the publication of the mass media of Japan states.

It will be recalled that

the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for the President of Russia Vladimir Putin

and the Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova for the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim

Khan, said that Russian President Vladimir Putin will stand trial in The Hague for crimes

committed against Ukraine, regardless of Moscow's arguments.
