The decrease in the cost of fuel on the world market and the effective planning of Ukrainian traders lead to a drop in prices in Ukraine.

The director of the "A-95" consulting group, Serhiy Kuyun, spoke about this on the air of the information telethon.

According to him, there are no reasons for the sharp increase in prices at Ukrainian gas stations.

And the current decrease in prices is caused not only by the drop in prices on the world market.

"We prepared very well for the anti-Russian sanctions that were introduced in Europe on February 5, that is, for the embargo on the import of Russian oil products.

At the end of October [2022], the government appealed to traders to build up reserves in order to minimize disruptions or any crisis phenomena," Serhiy Kuyun explained.

According to him, sufficient fuel reserves were formed in this way.

"For January-February, there was more fuel on the market than in the pre-war months of 2022," the expert noted.

We would like to remind you that the tendency to lower retail fuel prices is gaining momentum in Ukraine.
