Employees from the Regional Inspectorate for the Environment and Water in Pleven cleaned the "Skobelev Park" in Pleven today.

The action is part of the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Culture "Let's put an end to pollution".

The Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Petar Dimitrov participated in the initiative.

Actions are held according to schedule, and anyone can join the groups.

The purpose of the clean-up campaign is to attract followers to the cause by personal example, namely the people who are responsible for the implementation of the legal regulations for the protection of the environment.

Staffs have been created in the Ministry of Education and Culture, which will process the information about the collected waste in the campaign "Let's clean up Bulgaria together"

The campaign "Let's put an end to pollution" the leadership of the ministry started last month, and the actions will continue in the coming months, said the deputy.

- Minister Dimitrov, recalling that the Ministry of Education and Culture and the regional structures appeal to citizens for responsible behavior towards the environment by disposing of their waste only in designated places.

53 bags of waste, mostly plastic bottles, various packaging, glass and textile, plastic bottles were collected during the cleaning in Skobelev Park.

The participants in the clean-up recalled that when contaminated areas are identified, the relevant municipality or RIWS should be notified of their location, with the goal being to take timely cleaning actions.
