"The questioning of one of the captains has ended. The three-person crew of one ship has been released, with the option to do the same for the other 7 sailors. The captains of the other two ships are currently being questioned. We expect all Bulgarian sailors to be released, we expect by at the end of the day the favorable decision. The ships will remain detained".

This is what Radko Vlaikov, Ambassador of Bulgaria in Bucharest, told BNT.

According to him, the efforts were aimed at the release of the ten Bulgarian sailors, and how the ships will be handled is a question related to a subsequent stage.

On the second day, the detained Bulgarian fishing vessels remained in the port of Constanta.

Illegal shark fishing is being investigated.

"The sailors should understand that efforts are being made for their release. All procedural actions continue, the ships are detained by the decision of the prosecutor's office, they even have to be released by the sailors. Relatives of the sailors are in Constanta, they are worried if they will be able to in the evening to take everyone to Varna," added Radko Vlaikov.

He clarified that there is an option for one of the ships to remain unsealed so that some of the sailors remain.
