The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary,

, stated that Budapest will not support the Euro-Atlantic and European integration of Ukraine as long as "schools in Transcarpathia are in danger."   

This was reported by the spokesman of the Hungarian government, Zoltan Kovacs, with reference to the words of Peter Szijjártó.

"Hungary cannot support the transatlantic and European integration of Ukraine as long as Hungarian schools in Transcarpathia are in danger," Sijarto said.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary also stated that "1,300 Hungarian schools and kindergartens accept refugee children and students from Ukraine, while 99 Hungarian primary and secondary schools in Ukraine are under threat of closure due to the Ukrainian law on education."
