In Khmelnytskyi, a 51-year-old man

His father, who was the first to learn about what happened, convinced the suspect to confess to law enforcement officers.

This was reported by the police of the Khmelnytsky region.

"In the suspect's apartment, law enforcement officers found a bag containing the body of his roommate with numerous injuries. According to the expert's conclusions, the woman died about a week before," the agency said.

As the law enforcement officers found out, during the joint consumption of alcohol and drugs, a quarrel arose between the roommates, during which the detainee severely beat the victim.

And when he saw that she was dead, he hid the body in a bag and tightly wrapped it with tape. 

The man hid the crime for more than a week.

He explained his act by the fact that he was already on probation for causing bodily harm and was afraid of real imprisonment.

The perpetrator was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
