Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, plans to visit the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant next week.

According to APA, this was announced on the website of the International Atomic Energy Agency (AEBA).

It is noted that Grossi will have to "personally assess the seriousness of the nuclear security situation at the facility and emphasize the urgent need to protect it" during the ongoing military operations in the country.

The director general of the organization noted that he "decided to visit the Zaporozhye NPP again to see how the situation has changed since September and to talk to those who operate the facility in these unprecedented and very difficult conditions."

"I will continue to do everything I can to reduce the risk of a nuclear accident during the tragic war in Ukraine," Grossi said.
