US President Joe Biden has warned

Iran

that the US will "act decisively" to protect Americans after an attack on their base in Syria.

This was reported by The Guardian.

"Make no mistake, the United States does not seek conflict with Iran, but be prepared that we will act decisively to protect our people," Biden said.

When asked whether Iran should pay a heavy price for its actions, Biden replied that Washington "is not going to stop."

It will be recalled that militants supported by Iran

launched a missile attack on a military base in northeastern Syria

in the Green Village area.

American troops are stationed there.

In response, the US launched an air strike.

It is reported that an American contract worker was killed, and five US servicemen and another worker were also injured.
