On the evening of Saturday, March 25, residents of the Rostov region of Russia were frightened by sounds similar to explosions for the second time in a day.

In particular, eyewitnesses in Azov, Chaltyra, part of Rostov and several other settlements write about "cotton" in social networks.

The Telegram channel "Novosti Rostova" published a video from surveillance cameras in the city of Azov, where the alarm of cars parked in the yard of a high-rise building went off due to a strong explosion.

Residents report that the windows in the houses almost flew out, the houses shook.

The sounds of "cotton" were also heard by residents of the regional center and the city of Chaltyr, but also the villages of Vysochyne, Krym, Pishkovo and Novovysochenske in the Kuschiv district of the Rostov region.

The head of the local administration of Azov called on citizens to remain calm, as, according to him, no extraordinary events had occurred in the city.

"We are investigating the causes of the loud sound.

I will inform as soon as the information is received," he wrote in his Telegram channel. 

Earlier, around one o'clock in the morning on March 25, residents of the cities of Novoshakhtynske and Shakhty, located in the north of the Rostov region, reported a loud noise.

According to residents, "something seemed to explode." 

The causes of "cotton" are also unknown.

The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported that there were no incidents that would cause such a ruckus in the Rostov region.

We will remind, earlier explosions in the city of Jankoy, located in the north of the temporarily occupied Crimea, according to Ukrainian intelligence, destroyed the Russian "Kalibr NK" cruise missiles during their transportation by railway.
