Fifty-eight-year-old Ukrainian refugee Valeria Yarotskaya gave birth to a healthy baby at Burgas University Hospital "Virgin Mary".

At 10.57 today little Victoria, measuring 3 kg and 49 cm, cried in the arms of obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Sibel Tatarova.

This was announced by the press center of the hospital.

Valeria Yarotskaya is a ballerina who dreamed of a second child for more than 20 years.

However, the pregnancy occurred in the midst of the war in Ukraine and turned the mother into a refugee seeking peace for herself and her future child.

He met Dr. Tatarova as soon as he arrived in Bulgaria in September last year and chose to trust her professionalism, given the specificity of his condition, the hospital said.

In recent years, there is enough information about women who became pregnant and gave birth at a similar age, so the case neither surprised nor worried me, said Dr. Tatarova.

I accepted the patient as a challenge, ready to respond to any possible complication that might arise.

All the while, she was closely monitored with laboratory tests, ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies - anything that might indicate a problem.

Fortunately, Valeria was extremely disciplined, and the pregnancy proceeded normally, without deviations, said the doctor, quoted by BTA.
