American actor Steven Segal, who also acquired Russian citizenship in 2016, has opened an aikido club in Moscow to teach Russian soldiers self-defense techniques when they find themselves at the front in Ukraine.

All about the topic:

Segal, who is known to maintain a close relationship with President Putin, took part in the official opening of his club last weekend, and the event was covered by media across Russia.

Putin awarded the Order of Friendship to actor Steven Segal

Segal explained to the TASS agency that "the development of aikido is important and must progress at a rapid pace."

The actor described Putin as "one of the greatest world leaders, if not the greatest at the moment."

In February, Putin awarded Segal with the Order of Friendship.

It's been reported that Russia has recruited Steven Seagal to teach martial arts to its soldiers.

Rumor has it that the Seagal-style running technique will be included in the training.

Russian soldiers will now be able to run away from their positions with weird hand motions.
