The hearing of Yana Pinchuk's case is scheduled for April 10.

In the final edition of the indictment, the accusations against Pinchuk were expanded, the human rights center "Viasna" reports.

Now she is also accused of:

  • Part 1, Art.

    290.4 of the Criminal Code ("Establishment of an organization for carrying out terrorist activities or participation in it")

  • Part 3 of Art.

    293 ("Mass riots") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

Earlier, Russia extradited Yana Pinchuk to Belarus.

These articles were not mentioned in the materials of the criminal case before the extradition of Pinchuk and, as a result, were not considered during the extradition check in Russia.

According to "Viasna", Belarus has violated its guarantees that Pinchuk will not be prosecuted and punished for a crime that was not included in the request for her extradition.

According to Viasna, this violates the requirements of the 1993 Convention on Legal Aid.

The request for the extradition of Yana Pinchuk contained the following articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus

  • part 3 of article 130 of the Criminal Code (inciting social enmity),

  • Part 3 of Art. 361 of the Criminal Code (public calls for the seizure of state power, forcible change of the constitutional order, implementation of actions aimed at harming the national security of the Republic of Belarus);

  • part 1 and part 2 of article 361-1 of the Criminal Code (Creation of an extremist formation or participation in it).
