Poland will continue to insist on an increase in the European Peace Fund, which finances the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

However, several EU countries oppose it.

This is reported by RMF24.

Yes, France, Germany, Italy and Greece are against increasing the budget of the European Peace Fund, so Poland will have to convince these countries.

These countries claim that they are the largest contributors to the fund's budget, accounting for more than 60%, which they say is a burden.

Therefore, France, Germany and Italy want to first establish the principle of spending this money, the stages of payments, as well as which part will be allocated to Ukraine and which part will be allocated to joint missions, for example, in Africa.

In the near future, this issue will be discussed by the EU ambassadors, then the heads of diplomacy, and finally it will be brought to the summit of the EU leaders, probably as early as June.

It should be noted that on March 23, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that another 200 million euros will be sent to Poland under the European Peace Fund, which will be directed to defense policy.

"I also campaigned on this, and my position was very clear that this fund should be increased, and it should not amount to 3.5 billion euros, but much more," Moravetsky emphasized.

We will remind, earlier the Polish mass media reported that the state's special services exposed a spy network that worked for Russia.

A group of six people planned to prepare for sabotage activities in Poland, in particular on railways and highways used to transport weapons for Ukraine.

Subsequently, on March 16, the Minister of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, announced the liquidation of the spy network that collected information for the benefit of the Russian Federation.
