The astrological phenomenon "Moon Occulting Venus", which can only be seen 3 times in the 21st century, debuted tonight (24th), and people have already shared photos of the starry sky taken one after another.

The Nanying Planetarium recommends that the Tainan area be locked down at 7:48 p.m.

The Nanying Planetarium stated that in Taiwan in the 21st century, it is estimated that the lunar occultation of Venus will occur 24 times in 100 years, but there are only 3 times when it appears at night and can be seen without being affected by sunlight, which are today, 2063, and 2063. In 2075, the last time it happened was 1974.

The lunar occultation of Venus will take place at 7:52 tonight. Nanying Planetarium pointed out that after all, it is only a momentary event. People in the Tainan area want to watch it. It is recommended to lock the starry sky at 7:48.

According to the planetarium, the lunar occultation of Venus can be seen at low altitude in the west after sunset on that day, and Venus with a brightness of -4 is located above the third crescent moon, and the distance between the two is about 1 degree.

In addition, you can also watch the very special Earthshine (Earthshine), that is, the dark side of the moon, which is not easy to see normally, is reflected by the earth's sunlight, causing the dark side of the moon to glow.

Taiwan in the 21st century has only three opportunities to see the "moon occultation of Venus". If you miss it this year, you will have to wait another 40 years.
