PM Modi said, in the last 9 years, India has worked on many fronts in the 'war' against TB.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that in the last nine years, India has worked together on many fronts in the 'war' against TB disease, including special campaigns for nutrition, new strategies for treatment, intensive use of technology and good health care. Health promoting campaigns like Fit India, Khelo India and Yoga are included.

Addressing the World TB Day Summit in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Friday, PM Modi said, "I am sure, Kashi will give a new energy to our global resolve against a disease like TB."

He said that India is now working on the target of ending TB by the year 2025.

The Prime Minister said, "It is a matter of great pleasure for me that the 'One World TB Summit' is being held in Kashi. Fortunately, I am also the Member of Parliament of Kashi. Kashi is witness to the fact that no matter how big the challenge is, when there is an effort by all, a new way also emerges. He said that the path emerges from the effort. Children are also taking forward the war against TV, there are many children who have adopted TV patients leaving their piggy banks. 

PM Modi said, "India is now working on the target of ending TB by the year 2025. The global target to end TB is 2030 but India is working on the goal of ending TB by the year 2025.Karnataka and Jammu Kashmir has been honored with TB free award. I congratulate the people who have achieved this success.
