The expectations for this year are that there will be neither big players nor big projects entering the country.

This is what Georgi K. Parvanov, Human Resources expert, member of the Board of the Bulgarian Association for People Management and the Bulgarian Employment Confederation, told BNR.

The expected average growth of salaries in the country for this year is 9-10%, Parvanov said.

According to him, wage growth continues, albeit at a more moderate pace.

The greatest demand and the greatest shortage of personnel are in the lowest segment, but the demand in the middle expert segment is no less, the HR specialist said.

Unemployment is a record low - 4.3%

.

The labor market in Bulgaria continues to become more colorful, Georgi Parvanov noted the trend.

By almost 17%, the costs of remuneration have increased

He explained that workers come from different countries, and there are more and more from different Asian countries, from Africa they are also interested, but in terms of numbers we are far behind Hungary and Romania.

Romania has "imported" 30,000 people from Bangladesh alone, the expert gave an example.

Parvanov shared information about a "total outflow of Ukrainian refugees from the labor market".

It is expected that more and more Turks will look for places on the labor market in our country because of the collapse of the lira, he added.

The permanent trend of returning Bulgarian migrants from abroad will continue, predicts Georgi Parvanov, also referring to the interest in employer forums abroad, which aim to attract our compatriots back to Bulgaria.

According to Parvanov, the number of Western pensioners moving to live in Bulgarian villages is also growing.

In the coming years, we will live with the option of remote work from home or a hybrid model, the human resources specialist also pointed out.

"1,150,000 Bulgarians of working age are neither working nor studying

. This is a scary figure," commented Parvanov.
