A yellow code for expected heavy rainfall with thunderstorms has been issued for today for the areas affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey on February 6, state TV TRT-Haber reported.

Warnings of expected dangerous weather have been issued for eight districts - Kahramanmaras, Gaziantep, Adyaman, Malatya, Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Elyağı.

Meteorologists warn that there will be heavy rainfall with thunder accompanied by hurricane-force winds in the areas heavily affected by the earthquakes.

Hail may rain in places, and even the formation of a tornado is not excluded.

This month there were also floods in the counties of Şanlıurfa and Adıyaman, which were hit hard by the devastating earthquakes, killing 20 people.
