In Canada, a woman almost had her leg amputated after a loud party.

So, 36-year-old Julia Anderson from Ontario returned home from a bachelorette party and fainted.

She said that she drank too much vodka, writes ladbible.com.

After a few hours, the woman woke up and realized that she could not move her incredibly swollen legs.

At first she thought she had broken a bone and called her mother in fear.

They called an ambulance.

After an examination by doctors, Julia was diagnosed with compartment syndrome.

It is caused by bleeding or swelling of the muscles.

To save her leg, she had to undergo dialysis, blood transfusions and skin graft surgery.

Three years have passed since the incident, but Julia still cannot walk normally.

"When I got to the hospital, my body was very swollen. I'm tiny, I'm only 45kg, but I looked 20kg bigger. I was immediately sent for surgery because the muscles were deteriorating and releasing toxins into the blood, which my body was swollen and my kidneys were shutting down. After the first surgery I was in intensive care for two weeks on a drain because I was still huge. I was always in pain. Imagine your leg swelling up, but that feeling tingling a thousand times like a sharp electric shock on my leg," the woman recalled.

After five weeks in the hospital, Anderson returned home, where she was bedridden for another three.

She is still struggling with the consequences.

"I can't walk normally. I walk on my left foot like I'm wearing a high heel - almost like a Barbie foot. My toes are starting to curl, I don't know if I'll need further surgery or if there's anything they can do now," she added. .

Julia urged people to be careful if they drink with their friends as the consequences could be serious.

We will remind, in the USA,

a man's body began to produce alcohol

.

He lived with the unusual "autobrewery" syndrome and could even end up behind bars.
