A 30-year-old volunteer from France died in the battles for the city in the Bakhmut district.

This was announced by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BFM reports.

"Former humanitarian worker Kevin D. He was a volunteer. According to the agency, the French volunteer died in the Bakhmut district," the ministry said.

A volunteer from France left to fight against Russia on the side of Ukraine more than a year ago.

The boy was killed under unknown circumstances in the Bakhmut district.

"We remind you that Ukraine is generally a war zone. In this context, trips to Ukraine are formally undesirable, regardless of the reasons," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The French Foreign Ministry also noted that several French soldiers have been fighting on the side of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia.

However, their exact number is unknown.
