In Ukraine, 345 bridges were destroyed during the full-scale war.

Currently, every sixth person has recovered.

Vyacheslav Yaremenko, an officer of the Department of Reconstruction and Construction of the State Special Service of Transport of the Ministry of Defense, said on the air of "Suspilny" as part of a telethon that the priority of restoring bridges is determined by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

"After the de-occupation of our territories, all structural divisions of the State Special Transport Service, according to their functional capabilities, began to carry out restoration works of transport infrastructure, namely road and railway bridges.

We receive all these tasks from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

They determine which bridges need to be restored first.

To date, our structural units have restored 54 bridges.

There are currently 8 bridges in operation," Vyacheslav Yaremenko said.

He also added that today the Armed Forces and the Commander-in-Chief determine the sequence of restoration.

First of all, those bridges that are needed for the logistical support of the Armed Forces are being restored.

Others will recover in parallel with our units.

"Military and civil administrations are involved in these works.

They also have their own units that they involve in this.

The bridge across the Desna was destroyed by rockets and shells.

This is one of those bridges that we restored, having done a capital repair project ourselves.

Before that there was a pontoon crossing.

Pontoon bridges cross the Ingulets River in the Mykolaiv Region.

They were very easy to destroy and very difficult to restore.

In order not to return there a second time, a decision was made to restore the bridges according to the capital option," added the officer of the reconstruction and construction department.

We will remind you that the Russian occupiers launched a rocket attack on the "Point of Invincibility" in

Kostiantynivka

 , Donetsk region.
