175 new trees, including 105 ash trees, 20 birches and 10 sycamores, lindens, silver spruces and Serbian spruces, were planted today in the City Park in Razgrad.

The afforestation campaign was organized by the municipality of Razgrad.

In addition to the municipal officials, deputy mayors Dobrin Dobrev and Polina Ivanova took part in it.

A large part of the saplings are provided by the Municipal Enterprise "Parkstroy", and another by nurseries.

For all newly planted saplings in the different parts of the City Park, the possibility of deep watering is ensured, the municipality specified.

The afforestation campaign was dedicated to the First Spring and is part of the commitment of the management of Razgrad Municipality to renovate one of Razgrad's favorite places for recreation, said Deputy Mayor Dobrev.

A little more than two weeks ago, the rehabilitation of the paths in the park began.

The next renovation activities of the park are the construction of two new playgrounds - a sports playground for street fitness in the area above the combined playground and a playground for children from 0 to 3 years old at the beginning of the City Park.

In an economic manner, the cleaning of insufficiently refined areas in the City Park continues, west of the Pantheon, work is being done on opening the alleys, clearing the overgrown tree and shrub vegetation, as well as restoring park furniture.  

They are planting another 600 trees in the Metropolitan Municipality this fall
