The Russians are trying to storm the Avdiyivka
and Maryinka districts
of the Donetsk region.
The enemy is shelling residential buildings in Avdiivka in order to push through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to surround the settlement.
Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the operational and strategic group of troops "Tavria", stated this.
According to Tarnavskyi, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the front and giving a decent rebuff to the invaders.
"The enemy's assault attempts are being defeated. Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the Russians," writes the commander of the Tavria group.

Currently, about two thousand civilians remain in Avdiivka.
They live in basements.
The enemy is shelling shops, relief centers and utility companies.
"Avdiivka has been without electricity, water and heat for almost a year. The last time there was electricity was on May 14, 2022," says Tarnavskyi.

It will be recalled that the commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the occupying
army, after many months of heavy fighting, is not abandoning its attempts to take Bakhmut,
despite the losses in both manpower and equipment.
However, the Armed Forces are successfully resisting the enemy.
The occupiers are "losing significant strength and exhaling."
