This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Melanie Joly, writes Ukrinform.

"If China really wants a peace agreement, then it should tell Russia to get out of Ukraine.

I told this to my Chinese colleague last month," Jolie noted.

She also emphasized the importance of a direct conversation between the heads of Ukraine and China.

"We all want peace.

Canada will always stand for peace.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine violates the UN Charter, so in order for peace to come, it must leave," the head of the Foreign Ministry summed up.

It will be recalled that former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper became famous for saying "Putin, get out of Ukraine" and refusing to shake hands with the President of Russia at the G20 summit in Australia in November 2014.

We will remind that it was previously reported that the spokesman of the US State Department, Ned Price, stated that

Beijing should force Moscow to withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine if it wants to play a constructive role in the process of stopping the war
