On March 23, the 60th meeting of the Committee on Culture, Education and Social Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (CSEO PM) was held in videoconference format.

According to the press and public relations department of the Milli Majlis, representatives of the delegations of the member countries participated in the event.

The Azerbaijani parliament was represented at the meeting by Musa Guliyev, the chairman of the Labor and social policy committee of the Milli Majlis, as well as the culture, education and social affairs commission of the Prime Minister of the State Council of Azerbaijan, and deputy Ramin Mammadov.

After the agenda was approved, a draft report on "The role of mass media in the socio-economic development of the member states of the CSTO" was presented at the meeting.

The draft report was adopted after the meeting participants expressed their opinions in the discussions on the topic.

Then the draft of the recommendation decision on the same topic was reviewed and the document was adopted by voting.

The meeting also heard information about the current activities of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization.

A number of organizational issues were also discussed at the meeting.

Milli Mejlis committee chairman Musa Guliyev was re-elected as chairman of the Culture, Education and Social Affairs Commission of the Prime Minister of the State Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The participants of the event also elected the vice-chairmen of the commission.


At the meeting, the place, date and topic of the next meeting of the commission were determined.

The 61st meeting of the commission is planned to be held in the Russian Federation in October 2023.

The event will discuss the topic "The role of parliaments in strengthening the child protection policy in the OSCE member states."
