An unusual event happened in the USA: a brave calf escaped from a slaughterhouse and started a chase through the city.

In the end, they decided not to kill the animal, but to send it to a shelter.

The calf escaped from a car parked near a slaughterhouse located in Canarsie, Brooklyn, New York.

Thanks to his courage, the owners of the slaughterhouse decided to spare the four-month-old animal and take it to a shelter to live a happy life. 

The video from the scene shows panicked workers running after the calf, trying to lasso it, and it bravely running away.

Later, the calf was caught up.

Mike Stura, who runs the Skylands Animal Shelter in New Jersey, called the slaughterhouse to request that the cow be released to his shelter.

As reported, the slaughterhouse hesitated at first, but later agreed to give the cow to the shelter.
