The Swedish Parliament (Riksdag) approved the government's proposal to transfer a new package of military aid to Ukraine with Archer artillery and Leopard 2 tank guns.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Riksdag dated March 23.

According to the decision, the Swedish government can transfer military equipment and ammunition worth 6.2 billion kroner (554 million euros) to Ukraine.

These are

Leopard 2 tanks, Archer self-propelled guns, Robot 57 light anti-tank weapons

 and ammunition.

"The government justifies its proposal by the fact that the provision of military equipment to Ukraine is in the interests of Sweden," the parliament noted.

In addition, the Swedish parliament allowed the government to decide on the sale of 14 Archer systems to Great Britain, which previously transferred its AS90 artillery systems to Ukraine.

It will be recalled that on March 20, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth 350 million dollars.

These are ammunition for HIMARS, for Bradley, HARM missiles, anti-tank weapons and river boats.

On the same day, the EU agreed on a plan to purchase one million ammunitions for Ukraine over the next 12 months, worth 2 billion euros.
