In Irpen near Kyiv, a 43-year-old resident of a high-rise building was detained, who

opened fire from the balcony of his apartment on the eighth floor

. 

This was reported by the police of the Kyiv region.

On the evening of March 21, residents of the building where the incident took place contacted the police.

The police searched for and detained the man not far from his place of residence.

The shooter was found to have

a starting pistol and a cold weapon

.

An inadequate resident of a high-rise building

tried to commit malicious disobedience during detention

.

The police have started a pre-trial investigation into the hooliganism.  

The man faces

restriction of freedom for up to five years

.

He will also bear administrative responsibility for disobeying the lawful order of a police officer.
