The renowned Cuban actor Rubén Breña, with an outstanding career in radio, television, cinema and theater, died today in Havana,

Breña was born in Pinar del Río on September 21, 1953 and from a young age he showed aptitude and inclination towards different artistic manifestations.

Among his best-remembered works are The Twins by Carlos Goldoni, The Sunrises Are Here Peaceful, and The Cross-eyed.

On television he achieved great popularity for his performances in multiple soap operas, teleplays, soap operas and stories, standing out especially in Tierra brava, Historias de Fuego, When the water returns to the earth and Blue is blue.

In addition to acting, Breña practiced painting empirically and was fond of music and poetry.

Cuban culture mourns the loss of this great artist who knew how to earn the love and respect of the public with his talent and humility.
