The EU summit approved the joint purchase of ammunition for Ukraine and allowed the transfer of missiles.

This was announced by the press service of the European Council.

"Taking into account the security and defense interests of all member states, the European Council welcomes the agreement reached in the Council on the urgent supply of surface-to-surface munitions and artillery ammunition, as well as, if necessary, missiles to Ukraine," the conclusions of the European Council state .

EU leaders confirmed that they remain committed to introducing new restrictions against Russia and continuing work on a price cap for Russian oil.

They supported the creation of a special tribunal for the Russian Federation, which will consider crimes of aggression.

"The European Council once again declares the EU's full support for the creation of an international mechanism for registering the damage caused by Russia. Together with its partners, the European Union will continue to intensify work on the use of frozen and immobilized assets of Russia for the recovery of Ukraine," the document says.

At the same time, the Eurocouncil emphasized intensifying work with partners to counter false Russian narratives and disinformation about the war.

The department supported Ukraine's efforts to join the European Union and positively assessed the necessary reforms.

Meanwhile, Russia is already circumventing sanctions.
