New Delhi:

Separatist Amritpal Singh is still absconding.

Here, government sources have claimed that Amritpal, head of an organization named 'Warish Punjab De', was eyeing to capture the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), the largest organization of Sikhs.

Along with this, he was engaged in creating a vote bank of his own in the name of baptism.

A senior official said that "Amritpal wanted to capture the SGPC to give credibility to his interpretation of Sikh history."

Significantly, the SGPC is said to be the mini-parliament of the Sikhs.

Officials said that the investigation so far has also revealed that Amritpal Singh was using people as weapons to promote his violent radical ideology in the name of propagating religion.

A report submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs states that Amritpal Singh's goons vandalized two Gurdwaras - Kapurthala and Jalandhar on his instructions, without taking into account the sanctity of holy places like Gurdwaras. The interesting thing about the whole affair is that The SGPC on Monday asked the Punjab government to stop arresting "innocent" Sikh youths. The apex gurdwara body also strongly condemned the "excesses" being committed by the police against Sikh youths in the state over the past few days. Key's.

Let us inform that the Punjab Police has so far arrested more than 120 people, including members of the organization 'Waris Punjab De' led by him.

Facing all-round criticism on this issue, the government on Thursday justified the filing of cases against Amritpal Singh's associates under the NSA (National Security Act, 1980).

Significantly, so far NSA has been imposed on seven associates of Amritpal, including Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Basant Singh, Bhagwant Singh, Daljit Singh Kalsi, Harjit Singh, apart from Kulwant Singh and Gur Aujla.

According to officials, the banned outfit SFJ (Sikhs for Justice) which has now come out in open support of the WPD is a major cause of concern.

It was decided at the top level that the accused arrested in this case would be sent out of Punjab for security reasons.

He said, "There were reports that preparations were also underway to radicalise other jailed criminals and add them to the Anandpur Khalsa Fauj/AKF.
