Yan Yan registered to run for the Second Constituency Lin: I believe the people hope that the change will continue

[Reporters Su Jinfeng, Zhang Xuanzhe, Su Mengjuan/Taichung Report] The KMT’s Taichung City Legislative Council election first step handles the second, third, and eighth constituency operations. Former legislator Yan Kuanheng sent someone to collect the form on his behalf, and registered to run for the second constituency. Legislator of the Democratic Progressive Party Lin Jingyi has also completed the registration within the party, and the confrontation between the two will be repeated in the second constituency.

Yan Kuanheng kept a low-key response to the matter of re-donning the jersey yesterday, while Lin Jingyi said that she believed that the public's expectation of continued change would continue.

KMT Taichung City Legislative Election Registration is on the 24th. In addition to Yan Kuanheng completing the registration of the second constituency, Jiang Qichen, the current legislator of the eighth constituency, has also entrusted to collect the form. Yang Qiongying, the current legislator of the third constituency, is expected to register on the 24th.

The DPP’s Taichung City Legislative Election Registration deadline also ends on the 24th. As of yesterday, current legislators Zhang Liao Wanjian and Zhuang Jingcheng have completed their registrations; as for the current legislator Huang Guoshu (without party membership) in the sixth constituency, he has announced that he will not run for re-election. No one registered.

During last year's by-election for Taichung City's Legislative District 2, Lin Ching-yi faced Yan Kuan-heng and won with more than 7,000 votes in a fierce battle.

However, apart from thanking everyone for their concern yesterday, Yan Kuanheng kept a low profile and did not respond to other questions.

Lin Jingyi said that local organizations and momentum are indeed more beneficial to Yan Kuan-heng. She knows that the legislative election in 2024 will be far more difficult than last year's by-election. Since then, she has worked hard with the team to let voters know what a professional legislator is, and that they can serve in a fair, clean, and selfless manner. I believe the local people feel that she and former legislator Chen Baiwei will be elected, representing the people in the second constituency wanting to change. She believes people will want the change to last.

Lin Jingyi, a legislator of the Democratic Progressive Party, said that she believes that the public's expectation of continued change will continue.
