The National Assembly (AN) of Venezuela approved on Tuesday

undertaken by the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, presented by Deputy Diosdado Cabello, was approved by qualified majority.

In his speech, the parliamentarian said that "this is not a new battle, it is a historic battle, a battle that we have been waging since the Bolivarian Revolution. We must always remember our commander Hugo Chávez, on how many occasions he called us to get rid of the anti-values".

In addition, he stressed that President Maduro has been at the forefront of this battle from the very beginning.

The deputy affirmed that

the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), the deputies of the bloc of the homeland, commit themselves to fight against the acts of corruption in any instance and "whoever falls into that situation must assume their responsibility". .

"The Bolivarian Revolution will not rest in the fight against the corrupt, whatever they are called, whoever they are, and whoever they are," said the parliamentarian and first vice president of the PSUV.

For his part, the president of the AN, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, stressed that Commander Chávez and Head of State Maduro, in their respective efforts, have decisively and firmly faced corruption, which has not been seen in previous governments. .

"I think the time has come that when we refer to the fact that the culprits will fall, whoever they are and wherever they are, we also include those sectors of the extreme right that stole at least more than 40,000 million dollars and also attacked the republic to stop producing more than 635,000 million dollars that the blockade has cost the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela," he recalled.

Likewise, he clarified that this investigation is just beginning and proposed that the AN's Internal Policy Commission should focus on reviewing all existing anti-corruption laws in the country "to make punishments more vigorous."

The president of the Venezuelan Parliament noted that, so far, there are 19 people detained for these events "and I am sure that more will come."

Support for the fight against corruption
