Ukrainians affected by the Russian invasion can receive one-time assistance

in the amount of 100,000 to 1 million hryvnias.

 The corresponding draft law has already been adopted and submitted to the main committee.

This is stated on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

As noted in the document, one-time assistance can be received

by employees of critical infrastructure facilities, civil servants, journalists and their families

who have suffered from Putin's war. 

"The draft law of Ukraine was developed with the aim of determining the legal and organizational basis for the establishment of one-time cash payments to persons authorized to perform the functions of the state or local self-government, employees of critical infrastructure facilities and journalists who died or were injured while performing their duties in the period of martial law introduced in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law", the text of the document says. 

The amount of one-time assistance is:

  • persons with disabilities of the 1st group - 800 thousand hryvnias;

  • persons with disabilities of the II group - 500 thousand hryvnias;

  • persons with disabilities of the III group - 200 thousand hryvnias;

  • persons who have lost their ability to work without establishing a disability - 100 thousand hryvnias;

  • in case of death (death) - 1 million hryvnias.

In which cases the state will pay aid:

According to the law, individuals will be able to receive one-time assistance

for damage to life and health of persons who have received a disability or lost their ability to work without establishing a disability due to a number of factors.

It:

  • wound,

  • mutilation, 

  • contusion

  • an illness related to the performance of official (official, professional) duties after February 24, 2022.

Family members of deceased (deceased) persons include:

1) parents, if they were not deprived of their parental rights before the deceased (deceased) reached the age of majority;

2) one of the spouses who has not remarried;

3) minor and/or minor children;

4) adult children studying full-time or dual education in professional (vocational-technical), professional pre-higher and higher education institutions, until the end of these educational institutions, but not longer than until they reach the age of 23;

5) adult children who do not have (and did not have) their families;

6) adult children who have their own families, but became persons with disabilities before reaching adulthood;

7) dependents of the deceased (deceased), to whom a pension is paid in connection with this. 

People affected by the war can use this right

to receive assistance within three years from the date of such right.

The procedure for the appointment and payment of one-time monetary assistance for damage to life and health is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

One-time monetary assistance for damage to life and health is paid

out of the state budget.
