"This is important, because the issues of political prisoners, the Belarusian language, culture and, in general, national revival will always be the priorities of our joint work," Tikhanovskaya noted.

According to Tikhanovskaya, during the visit, meetings are planned at the US State Department, the US House of Representatives and the US Senate, and the ambassadors of European and American countries.

"At every meeting, we will talk about how important it is to support Belarusians, the Belarusian democratic movement, the media and human rights defenders.

We will again raise the topic of holding the regime accountable for crimes against humanity and, of course, launching the appropriate international mechanisms," Tsikhanovskaya said.

Tsikhanovskaya also informed that her team will take part in Kalinovsky's conference, which will be held on March 23 in Washington.

The politician emphasized that this is the first Belarusian conference at such a high level in the USA.

Strategy and policy towards Belarus will be discussed together with European and American politicians.

Tsikhanovskaya intends to explain why introducing visa "bans" against Belarusians is counterproductive and only helps the regime.

Svetlana Tsikhanovskaya also invited Belarusians in America to a rally on the occasion of Freedom Day, which will take place on March 25 in Washington, on the square near the White House.
