"Today we are releasing the regulation, which has traceability along the entire chain for quality, quantities and prices, for public discussion."

This was stated in the studio of "Hello, Bulgaria" by the Minister of Agriculture Yavor Gechev.

He explained that the system will monitor the path of all imported foods on their way to the Bulgarian consumer.

Gechev claims that such a registry would be very useful for several reasons.

One is that, in the event that a signal is received about unsafe food, the institutions can withdraw the product from the market until the last count.

Another advantage, which the line minister pointed out, is that control over traders is facilitated.

He also explained how the state will fight against unfair trade practices.

"When the price difference between the producer and the seller is more than 25% of the gross price or 10% of the net price, they will have to notify KZP and KZK beforehand about this larger margin", said Yavor Gechev.

He specified that on the subject of the price ceiling, meetings with the representatives of the food chains in our country are yet to come.

The Minister of Agriculture did not hide that there is an increase in the price of irrigation water by between 15 and 300%, but he emphasized that the department he leads is doing everything possible to solve the problem.

"We have very good communication with the organizers of the protest and they know very well our declaration that we not only have the desire, but we will solve the problem, but first I have to meet with the Minister of Finance.

We have found internal reserves to compensate for the water so that it does not rise more than last year's price", said Gechev.

The Minister of Agriculture also announced that the price of cucumber is falling.

"Perhaps it will be interesting to the viewers, but the cucumbers yesterday at the exchanges in the store, I say it deliberately, for the wholesale price cost BGN 3.20.

What does this mean, the prices in the capital were different, this is an anomaly that they started doing.

It's not enough yet, but I hope this price normalizes even more, because cucumbers are a bit of an anomaly for other and other reasons.

If the purchase price of cucumbers is BGN 3.20, and the markup at sale is 20-25%, you will have to imagine the purchase data in the KZP", Yavor Gechev added.

"I am not the person to comment on public bodies, but if a government is formed tomorrow, God forbid, it will not weld that big queue at the border, as we welded. Since the caretaker government is in charge of the BABH, there is control and order. Currently, a huge part of the Bulgarian carriers who cross the border thank us," Gechev also boasted.

"We analyzed that the situation for diseases coming from Turkey is not great at the moment, and we stopped all the disinfection that had been done for, I think, 15 years.

Disinfection is carried out only when there is a direct danger and evidence of disease, and the data at the moment is such that there is no need for disinfection.

Another thing is that this disinfection must first be effective and then it must not be a service from which huge money is earned.

Disinfection is done when needed.

If there is no need, we pull the counter, as we did now," added Yavor Gechev.
