Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida met with his Polish counterpart today to discuss regional security and bilateral relations, a day after Kishida made a surprise visit to Kiev and held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Associated Press reported.
Kishida visited Ukraine yesterday while Chinese President Xi Jinping was holding talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
The two visits show how countries around the world express support to the parties to the conflict, AP notes.

The Japanese Prime Minister was welcomed in Warsaw by his Polish counterpart Mateusz Morawiecki.
Later, Kishida will meet with the President of Poland Andriy Duda.
Poland is providing military, humanitarian and political aid to its neighbor Ukraine, which is trying to fend off a full-scale Russian invasion that began more than a year ago, BTA notes.
