The Biden administration said that the missile attack on the civilian population in Zaporizhzhia was definitely consistent with previous similar attacks.

This was stated by the representative of the National Security Council of the White House, John Kirby, reports CNN.

"This (strike on Zaporizhzhia - Ed.) could certainly have targeted civilians. It's obvious that this is the Russian scenario - to strike civilian infrastructure and not pay attention to civilians. So it's absolutely possible," Kirby said.

At the same time, he added that the United States currently does not have more specific information about this strike and its motives.

Earlier, John Kirby said that Russia is preparing for a new offensive in Ukraine.

We will remind that today, March 22, the Russian occupiers attacked Zaporizhzhia and hit a multi-story residential building with a rocket.

According to preliminary data, as a result of rockets hitting residential buildings, 31 people were injured, one woman died.
