Ukraine

took 92nd place

The level of happiness was globally affected by the full-scale invasion of Russia - at the same time, the indicator is higher than in pre-war times.    

Annual surveys of the World Happiness Report are conducted among 150 countries of the world, writes CNN.

The World Happiness Report, prepared by the United Nations, is based on data from a global survey of people in approximately 150 countries.

Countries are ranked in terms of happiness based on their average life scores over the previous three years – this year's report covers the period 2020 to 2022.

The level of happiness is determined by several indicators - life expectancy, social support of GDP per capita, low corruption, generosity in society and freedom in decision-making.

The results of the rating also showed that the level of happiness in most countries remained almost unchanged after the pandemic period, but goodwill increased by 25%. 

15 happiest nations in the world:

1. Finland

2. Denmark

3. Iceland

4. Israel

5. The Netherlands

6. Sweden

7. Norway

8. Switzerland

9. Luxembourg

10. New Zealand

11. Austria

12. Australia

13. Canada

14. Ireland

15. USA

Ivory Coast, Gabon, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mozambique, Iraq, Palestine, Morocco, Iran were ranked below Ukraine in the happiness ranking.

Afghanistan and Lebanon are the most unhappy.

It will be recalled that, according to the data of a nationwide survey by the sociological group "Rating",

after the war began, more than 50% of Ukrainians remained without work.
