Kuttu ka Cheela Recipe:

Fasting is observed for 9 days during Navratri.

Ingredients of Kuttu Ka Cheela:

  • 100 grams Buckwheat flour 

  • 1 tsp rock salt 

  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped 

  • 50 grams paneer, grated 

  • 20 grams desi ghee 

  • 10 grams ginger grated 

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

For tamarind sauce: 

  • 100 grams tamarind 

  • 400 grams water

  •  15 grams ginger powder

  •  1/2 tsp red chili powder

  •  80 g sugar 

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder

  •  1/2 tsp rock salt

Recipe to make Kuttu Ka Cheela (How to Make Kuttu Ka Cheela):


1. To make cheela, first prepare a batter by adding buckwheat flour, rock salt, cumin and green chillies in a vessel.


2. Grease the griddle (you can also use non-stick pan) with desi ghee.


3. Now spread the flour mixture in it in a round shape.


4. Add grated paneer and chopped ginger over it.


5. Serve hot with tamarind chutney or coconut chutney.

Prepare Tamarind Chutney: 

1. Soak tamarind in water till it becomes soft and pulpy.


2. Now sieve the tamarind and make a thin slurry by adding water.


3. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat until it thickens slightly.

Chill and serve.
