The Ministry of Education and Science proposes to open 552 places for admission in 21 classes after completing basic education in the six schools of national importance in the next academic year.

In the schools of national significance, which provide professional education and training, the number of places in STEM professions and specialties is 511, which is 92.57% of the total number of places.

This is foreseen by a draft order of the Minister of Education and Science, published for public discussion on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science.

The state plan-admission in national schools complies with national strategies, forecasts, programs and development plans and is agreed with the Minister of Labor and Social Policy and the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works.

Schools of national significance are in five regions - Lovech, Pazardzhik, Stara Zagora, Razgrad and Sofia region.

These are the National Vocational School of Veterinary Medicine "Prof.

Dr. Dimitar Dimov" in Lovech, National Vocational High School of Forestry and Woodworking "Sava Mladenov" in Teteven, National Vocational High School of Forestry "Hristo Botev" in Velingrad, National Vocational High School of Veterinary Medicine "Ivan Pavlov" in Stara Zagora , the National Vocational Technical High School "Shandor Petjofi" in Razgrad and the National Vocational High School for Computer Systems at the Technical University - Sofia.

Schools of national importance are defined by a decision of the Council of Ministers.
