"Iran's consistent aggressive stance against Azerbaijan in the name of security in the South Caucasus may be against its strategic interests in the long term."

Hikmet Babaoglu, the deputy chairman of the defense, security and anti-corruption committee of the Milli Majlis, said this in his statement to APA.

According to the deputy, it is clear to everyone, including our military compatriots who make up almost half of the Iranian army, that when the Persian-Mullah regime declares that it will not allow border changes in neighboring countries, the target of this threat is Azerbaijan: "And this position of Iran is to defend Armenia.

However, Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that it is ready to conclude a peace treaty with Armenia with mutual recognition of territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Armenia does not accept this.

In such a case, the target of the air defense systems of the Iranian Army located in Tabriz should be Armenia.

For some reason, the centers close to SEPAH, on the contrary, point to Azerbaijan as a target.

This means that Iran is not a supporter of peace in the region, international law, but a new war with Armenia.

However, Iran should not forget one important strategic factor, that the Iranian army is more ready to fight against Armenia, which is unjust and aggressor, commits genocide against Muslim believers, and destroys Islamic culture and religious heritage, than against Azerbaijan, which is its own religion and compatriot.

Therefore, if Iran intends to fight against Azerbaijan for Armenians, it should not ignore this important factor."

Hikmet Babaoglu noted that this war can become a war of Iran against itself: "A person from Tabriz, Meshkin, Urmia, Ardabili, Miyna, or Suldus will never raise a weapon against Azerbaijan.

For years, they have been waiting for an opportunity to give a worthy response to Armenian-Persian chauvinism, which has committed unprecedented crimes against their compatriots and sectarians.

Therefore, if it has the courage, let the Persian-mullah regime take a concrete step against Azerbaijan.

Then he will have to face unimaginable consequences."
