An explosion in an apartment startled passers-by in the "Smirnenski" district of Plovdiv. 

Minutes ago, a loud thunder was heard from a residence on "Orpheus" street opposite the "Corona" complex, from which the windows flew.

After that, thick black smoke started coming out of the apartment.

According to initial information, no one was injured.

Fire brigades have already arrived, an ambulance is also on its way to the address, "Maritsa" reported.

A gas cylinder is believed to have exploded.
