Ukrainian servicemen, in particular from the Air Force, undergo training in France, but at the moment - not at the helm of Mirage 2000 fighters.

The information about the accelerated training of pilots from Ukraine at the Mont-de-Marsan and Nancy air bases, which was spread by the French mass media, was denied by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuriy Ignat, on Radio Liberty.

According to him, servicemen of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as from other branches of the military, undergo training in different countries of the world, and this is a "typical phenomenon".

Ignat explained that in France, Ukrainians studied at the courses of air gunners, survival and some others.

However, there is currently no question of flight crew training.

It will be recalled that French President Emmanuel Macron suggested that his country could transfer Western fighter jets to Ukraine.
