Beijing:

China's in-charge Ma Jia said on Wednesday that India-China relations are facing difficulties due to the situation in the Ladakh sector of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), but neither side wants war or confrontation.

Ma Jia rejected the notion that China and Russia's offer not to raise the Ukraine crisis at the G-20 has created a split in the grouping.

According to the news agency PTI, China's in-charge said that it has become "more difficult to reach an adjustment" on this.

The issue has become even more acute since the G-20 summit in Indonesia in November.

Talking to a small group of Indian journalists, Ma Jia initially described the border situation as "overall stable".

He said both sides are promoting the transition to "normalised management and control".

Ma Jia further said, “We are confident because… neither China nor India wants war.

As long as we have this kind of intention and understanding of each other, I believe we can find a way out." He said reaching an agreement on the border issue is not easy, as it is "very complex". The consent of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can help both the sides find a way out.

He said, 'China is developing infrastructure along the border for local economic development.

If there is any kind of dispute or conflict in the border areas, then people will focus more on building infrastructure from both the sides.
