The statement of the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who actually said about the inadmissibility of "freezing" wars.

At the same time, China, which supports Russia, offers to "freeze" the war for a while, while the Russian army regroups, gathers forces and strikes Ukraine with new capabilities.

In an interview with TSN.ua, a researcher at the Taiwanese National Defense and Security Research Institute Yuriy Poita noted that most of the points of this plan were published back in February and March 2022 in various official Chinese documents.

"Later, there were a number of statements from the Chinese side on various platforms. Therefore, at that time, China's position on the so-called Ukrainian crisis simply looked like some kind of diplomatic action. It did not lead to any concrete actions. After this 12-point position was published, we saw that China was very intensively trying and trying to promote it in its international relations," the expert noted.

He reminded that the Russian Federation, Iran, Belarus, Hungary, Kazakhstan and other countries have already come forward to support the document, so China uses this document for a broader strategy.

"The question is to understand what his intention really is - is China using this document simply as a way to demonstrate its diplomatic position or does it actually have some purpose. In addition, we saw that during the meeting between Putin and Xi Jinping, China again spoke about peace talks and peace initiatives. In addition, we noted that before the China-China meeting itself, the Chinese side intensively promoted the need for so-called peace talks at various venues. They tried to find out whether Ukraine is really ready for peace talks, and also very intensively promoted the need for Ukraine to sit down at the negotiating table," Poita said.

He noted that Ukraine's arguments about the inappropriate conditions for these negotiations, that Russia did not reject its strategic tasks for the destruction of Ukraine, the inadmissibility of peace negotiations if there are occupied territories, that for the Russian Federation this is a way to obtain an operational pause, consolidate there and restore its military campaign subsequently did not affect the Chinese side.

"Accordingly, we concluded that, obviously, the Chinese side received a task from its leadership to promote these so-called peace talks as intensively as possible. Therefore, at the moment, we can conclude that this so-called "peace plan" is an attempt by China to put Ukraine at the negotiating table, but not with the aim of peace, but with the aim of achieving a ceasefire in order to enable the Russian Federation to gain a foothold in the occupied territories and, accordingly, to continue the war against Ukraine," the expert believes.

According to him, the question remains as to what China will do if Ukraine refuses to implement the so-called Chinese "peace plan".

"At the moment, we see all the signs that Ukraine is abandoning him and will implement Zelensky's 10-point plan," Poita added.

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping used two days of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow to demonstrate a coalition with Russia against the United States.

There is also an opinion that Xi Jinping made a very serious mistake regarding Putin.

According to experts, the leader of the People's Republic of China "appointed Putin for a six-year reign in Moscow from the 24th to the 30th year."
