The business environment in Azerbaijan was discussed at the seminar organized at Coventry University, one of the educational institutions of the United Kingdom.

Azerbaijan's ambassador to Britain, Elin Suleymanov, touched on many topics related to Azerbaijan at the seminar.

Professor Abraham Joseph, who opened the event, spoke about the activities of Ambassador E. Suleymanov and said that they are happy to welcome him to their university.

Azerbaijani students who played a leading role in the organization of the event, Nigar Asadova from the Faculty of Global Business Management and Dashdemirli Elmin from the Faculty of International Human Resources presented some information about our country to the guests.

Speaking about the modern history of Azerbaijan, Ambassador E. Suleymanov talked about the successes achieved by redirecting the revenues of the oil sector to the non-oil sector:

"Thanks to the foresight and wisdom of our national leader and President Ilham Aliyev, we realized that the development of the entire region is not possible on our own, for this we considered the importance of having stable economic and political relations with neighboring states as a priority," the ambassador said.

The ambassador also noted that Azerbaijan plays an important role in Europe's energy security.

"Along with our many regional and international projects such as Baku-Supsa, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Main Export Pipeline, Shah Deniz gas-condensate fields, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen spoke at the opening ceremony of the Greece-Bulgaria Gas Interconnector.

He said that with the launch of the gas pipeline, a new era has begun for South-Eastern Europe.

This is an indication that we play an important role in Europe's energy security."

Speaking about the 44-day war, the ambassador spoke in detail about the fact that after 30 years of negotiations, Azerbaijan itself had to implement the decisions of the UN Security Council.

At the end of the event, the participants addressed E. Suleymanov with the questions they were interested in.
