He approved a derogation so that Kozloduy NPP can purchase the materials, spare parts and services we need to ensure the normal performance of the planned annual repairs and operation of Kozloduy NPP. This was stated at a briefing by the Acting Minister of Energy, Rosen Hristov
Rosen Hristov has a master's degree in international economic relations from the University of California.
He noted that this action was "of critical importance to the security of the power plant."
Rosen Hristov: An analysis of what and how can be built with the existing equipment at Belene NPP is forthcoming
"These are materials, services and parts for which we have not yet found alternative suppliers. We are continuing the process of selecting new contractors so that in the long term we have absolute security. The other direction we are working on is restocking these materials and parts", Hristov explained, adding that this is how the energy security of the country is ensured.
