The SPEAKER of Parliament, Dr. Tulia Ackson, has said that Tanzania will feed the world and it will recognize that it comes from Tanzania.

He also congratulated President Samia Suluhu Hassan for the vision he has for this nation and asked for the cooperation of all ministries.

He noted this in Chinangali II in Dodoma region yesterday during the launch of large collective farms in the 'Building Better Tomorrow' (BBT) program conducted by President Samia.

Dr. Tulia said he believes that these model farms will continue and will be more, so they need the cooperation of all ministries.

He said that the fields will need to be irrigated so they need electric pumps, so the Minister of Energy will have to explain how this will be in reality, also the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade will also be involved because the program will not only feed Tanzania but also the world.

"We wish to feed the world with those crops that are food, but because agriculture will also involve commercial crops, it is obvious that we need factories so that our business in Tanzania can grow, so we need more investment," said Dr. Tulia.

He added: "Therefore, Mr. President, I would like to ask you, all your Ministries and if I had time, I would explain how each ministry I see can participate in your vision, but I believe that in the next budget, which you have launched today, we expect to see the unity of the government as one on this issue of the agricultural revolution."

According to Dr. Tulia, he once said when President Samia launched the filling of the Julius Nyerere Dam (JNHPP) that the dam will help in agriculture and Tanzania will feed the world.

Dr. Tulia said he made that statement not by mistake, he meant Tanzania has the ability to feed the world with its crops and people will eat them knowing they come from Tanzania.

"These products that are produced need better infrastructure so they can reach the market quickly, so when we put all these together, it is obvious that our nation is making great strides under your leadership," he said.

Dr. Tulia said he realizes that there are people who do not understand when they congratulate President Samia, but the truth is that President Samia has brought money to build roads, water projects and yesterday he launched BBT, so they have to congratulate him and give him the credit he deserves for his vision.

He also assured President Samia that the Parliament will continue to give him cooperation and ensure that they advise the government properly as well as manage it for the things it promised Tanzanians.
