Moschun was stormed for almost a month, and the streets and private houses were turned into a battlefield.

The Ukrainian village, where the occupiers threw their best units, forced them to accept one of the first shameful defeats, TSN reports.

It was a village of 1,000 inhabitants with beautiful houses and elegant surroundings, with lakes and forests around, thanks to which this area was called part of the climatic resort of the capital.

Now it's like a scorched earth and not a single surviving house.

In February 22, one after another, the occupiers' rotorcraft flew over the roofs of Moschun's houses.

A few kilometers from here is the Gostomel airfield, where the Russian landing force is trying to land.

At the airfield, the National Guard and units of the Armed Forces restrained the enemy, and the Russian landing force began to attack Moschun.

On March 5, one of the fiercest battles for Kyiv begins, which will last almost three weeks precisely on these streets of the village.

The battle was fought by units of the 72nd Black Zaporozhian Brigade, territorial defense, National Guard and special operations forces, supported by the artillery of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade.

The enemy outnumbered them many times, but not in skill.

The Ukrainian defenders knew this area well and were very motivated.

The narrow streets of the village of Moschun turned into a real battlefield.

The Russians stormed the village from the East.

The armed forces fought back from the west and won.

All the streets were strewn with the bodies of Russian soldiers of the elite unit of the Kremlin army.

When crossing the Irpin river, the enemy infantry built crossings three times, but even this did not allow them to capture the village and open their way to Kyiv.

"Our artillery helped us a lot.

Very much.

And they worked very precisely.

They transferred specific points where the equipment and manpower are located.

Artillery and "Hradi" helped.

A lot of equipment was burned on the approach.

When the Russians abandoned the pontoon crossing, they dismantled the pontoon crossing," the soldiers recalled.

At the end of March, our soldiers pushed the Russians back across the river.

The occupiers drop their equipment and equipment and run away.

Even then it becomes clear that they will lose the battle for Kyiv.

TSN went to Moschun after the fighting, when it had just been liberated, and enemy artillery was still firing on the horizon.

So it was possible to film the crimes of the Russians - almost completely destroyed houses, ransacked apartments and a pile of bodies of abandoned enemy soldiers and their burned equipment.

The battle for Moschun became one of the key points in the liberation of Kyiv region.

Elite units of the Russian landing and marines were defeated and destroyed here.

The exact number of losses of our forces in one of the most important battles for Kyiv is still unknown.
